The interior of Seaves Cottage Brandsby retains much of the original charm and character of the old building. Exposed beams, oak flooring and a traditional sitting room complete with wood-burner create a cosy and welcoming ambiance. The cottage style kitchen is really sweet, washing up is a pleasure with the view out to the duck pond and North York Moors beyond. The formal dining room features an attractive fireplace; with the morning sun beaming through the window take some time to enjoy a lazy breakfast.
Upstairs the cottage has two bedrooms. The first has a super-king size bed which can also be set up as a twin. The master bedroom has en suite facilities and a double bed. Both bedrooms enjoy views out to the North York Moors landscape. The family bathroom is also upstairs. Sink into the sumptuous roll-top bath each evening and relax.
If you feel like venturing out of Seaves Cottage Brandsby you’ll find a pretty walled courtyard leading to the duck pond beyond. Sit and watch the family’s horses canter around the nearby fields or take a walk along one of the many paths and bridleways in the area. And for a spot of lunch afterwards mosey along to the award-winning Durham Ox at Crayke. The excellent local pub the Bay Tree in Stillington, which has been awarded the highly prestigious ‘pub of the year title’ at the Whiterose awards. That’s if you have any room left after the owner’s home-made Brandsby pies!
